Routine Clinics - remember, 'phone first'

Due to COVID-19, we have had to make some significant changes in the way we run our services.

These changes are likely to remain in place for a long period of time until the pandemic is under control.


Please DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY to make an appointment.

  • Please telephone the surgery ('phone first')

  • A member of our care navigation team will ensure you get the right advice

  • The Care Navigator will be able to book an appointment for you. 


Phlebotomy / Blood Tests 

  • We will continue to provide appointments for essential blood tests. Please do not attend the surgery to make an appointment but phone first

Long-term Condition Support

  • If you have a long-term condition such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease or COPD, then your regular annual review will be carried out by telephone consultation. The Practice Nurse will be in touch with you around your birthday month. If you require an essential blood test as part of the review, then we will be in touch by phone and explain what you need to do.     

Cervical Screening 

  • Our Practice Nurses will continue to provide cervical screening. Please make an appointment with the reception team by phoning the surgery first

Childhood Immunisations

  • We will continue to provide appointments for immunisations. Despite the pandemic situation, it is still essential that your child receives a full course of vaccination.
  • Please phone first and we will arrange an appointment for you.  

Contraceptive Advice 

  • All appointments for contraceptive advice will now be made over the telephone. Unless the GP thinks it is absolutely necessary, you will not need to attend for a blood pressure check for your annual check. Please phone first and book a telephone appointment.
  • We will continue to offer depo provera injections and contraceptive implants.
