Electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD)
For more information on eRD please follow the link below or speak to your nominated pharmacy.
Gabapentin and Pregabalin
From Monday 11th March controlled drugs can be sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy. If you currently use the EPS (Electronic Prescribing Service) for your medications, however you have had to come into surgery to collect your controlled drug medications, this will be changing from the 11th March. Any controlled drug requests received in from the 11th March 2019* onwards the prescription will be sent directly to your pharmacy and you will no longer need to come into the surgery to collect a printed prescription.
For patients that do not use the EPS system then nothing has changed and you will still need to come into the surgery with ID to sign for and collect your prescription.
If you have any queries about this then please speak to your nominated pharmacy who will supply you with details on how to collect your controlled drug medication from them.
*Any request date stamped at the surgery prior to 11th March 2019 will be printed and not sent electronically.
