PRACTICE MERGER UPDATE
Following consultation we have been given approval for the merger of Oakfield Medical Practice and Linthorpe Surgery.
The merger is planned to go live on
THURSDAY 8TH FEBRUARY 2018

Practice Merger Further Update:
Due to the merge of our clinical and IT systems we will not have access to our computer system on the afternoon of Wednesday 7th February. As such we will only be dealing with medically urgent calls. We will also be staggering the start of our clinics on Thursday 8th February, this will be to ensure that the systems have merged correctly, could we ask that you only call in at 8am if it is something medically urgent that cannot wait until later in the day.

DUE TO THE PRACTICE MERGE THERE WILL BE NO ONLINE FACILITY TO ORDER REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS FROM 31ST JANUARY 2018 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
WE ARE SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE AND WE WILL HAVE THE SYSTEM BACK UP AND RUNNING AS SOON AS WE ARE ABLE TO ONCE THE COMPUTER SYSTEMS ARE MERGED.

CAN'T GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE GP?
If you cannot get an appointment at the surgery you can ask the receptionist to make you an appointment at one of our STAR GP centres. If you need to see or speak to a GP out of hours you should call NHS 111 to access the STAR service, or please click on the link to book your appointment online:
Important changes to urgent care services across South Tees from 1 April 2017
From 1 April 2017, NHS South Tees Clinical Commissioning Group will introduce a number of changes to urgent care to make it easier and more convenient for patients living across Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland to access GP appointments seven days a week.
Four extended hours GP centres will be open from 6pm to 9.30pm, Mondays to Fridays, and 8am to 9.30pm on weekends and Bank Holidays.
